This time of year, we’re drinking pumpkin spice lattes, visiting fall festivals, and enjoying the beauty God created in the changing seasons. Here at the nursery in Pasco Washington, things are changing quickly, and we love the freshness of fall.
In today’s post, I wanted to share what has changed color so far and share some pictures I took while walking through the trees at Garden Gate in Tri-Cities Washington.
Autumn Purple White Ash
The Autumn Purple White ash has almost completely turned. This tree is amazingly beautiful throughout summer and fall. One downside to the tree in the Tri-Cities is its susceptibility to insect problems during the summer months. Although we love it, it is a tree that will require more care than others in our neck of the woods.
Harvest Gold Linden
The Harvest Gold Linden has almost completely changed as well. Named after its glorious fall color, this tree is displaying it in full splendor.
Hackberry
The Hackberry was one of the first trees to start changing color in the nursery and has been yellow for over a week now. Leaves are getting ready to fall as they decide to ready themselves for winter.
Skyline Honeylocust
Although not fully yellow, the Skyline Honeylocust has turned more than other Honeylocusts and is a frontrunner in the fall color scape

Red Rocket Maple
One of the earliest changing trees on the nursery was the Red Rocket Maple. Brilliant red, this tree stood out like a star on top of a Christmas tree.
Conclusion
In the next couple of weeks, I’ll do my best to share what’s changed at our nursery in Pasco WA by then. Look out for more!
